About me

Hi everyone! I'm known everywhere online as Hanen, I've been DMing professionally online for about a year and a half now. My previous experience with DMing cames from running multiple campaigns for a local Children's Shelter for half a decade.I first picked up DMing while finding a way to bridge the gap between children that have gone through tough times to open themselves up to the world again & found D&D to be extremely useful as a form of play therapy. The kids who have their childhood taken away from them get to live out their fantasies in make-believe It was perfect & they enjoyed every session.I pretty much thought myself how to play starting with a very barebones system that I came up with myself and slowly moving on to D&D 5E after discovering it through research. I was hooked on it after that. Then the Pandemic came and I stashed my books. While I’m not able to play locally as much as I’d like to anymore, I’ve decided to move my table to an online community.More recently I've gained a years worth of experience with running D&D games online since I started DMing on Roll20. It has been a wonderful experience so far and I hope to continue doing it while making new friends along the way!

Automated Combat on Roll20

Seeds of Chaos's very own automated combat on roll20 allows for turns to go quick & flawlessly by automatically calculating if a roll hits it's target & additionally calculating resistances and immunities. Health is then automatically deducted. Written in the PowerCards script by yours truly.

Crafting & Gathering Made Fun & Easy

Here is an example of Alaric's Traveling day. He sets off with the party and decides to gather some herb as part of his traveling activity. Our party bard has given him a +4 Temp Bonus. He starts gathering... A Natural 20 is signified by the green roll box. But Alaric has a choice now to choose between his yields. Alaric chooses to gather from 5 T1 gathering spots as he is trying to craft an uncommon potion of healing..Rolling for 5 results he gained a total of x4 T1 Herbs & x1 T1 Unique Herb. One of those gathering spots did not work out and he found nothing, unfortunately. All of the gathered items are automatically stored in their inventory by our system.Time to craft, Alaric puts down 2 T1 Herbs to start crafting a potion of healing. He rolls a 17, Craft was a success! However, he's going to need 1 more successful craft in order to complete the potion. He will have to do it on his next traveling day. Once he is done his items will also be added automatically to his inventory.

Children born during this period displaying any signs of magical potential were abandoned, cast aside by a fearful populace. People recoiled from them, treating them as carriers of a dreaded affliction. The once revered practitioners of magic became outcasts, their knowledge and powers disregarded.Desperate, the people turned to their gods for salvation, but their prayers went unanswered. The divine beings seemed to have forsaken them, leading to a decline in religious followers over the years. Devotees of divine magic became rare, their faith tested by the silence of the gods. The effects of this are even more prevalent today with big empty cathedrals only a few who have not lost faith continued tradition.The Spellplague lasted for a decade, during which the world suffered. The cataclysmic event reshaped the landscape, causing the ground to quake and upheave like the surface of a roiling sea. Curtains of blue flame swept across the land, sculpting the terrain, cutting crevasses, and raising hills and ridges. Fragments of earth became Earthmotes, floating islands in the sky. Worlds collided and merged, and Faerun itself remerged with Abeir, only to be torn asunder once more when the Spellplague finally subsided in 1395With the reformation of the world came the dawn of a new age of adventuring. Beware of insanity

Sanity, A Madness Mechanic. Characters will be able to uncover the Secrets to the Seeds of Chaos in this campaign. The Seeds of Chaos is illusive in nature & immaterial in make. Folks in the New World are oblivious to it’s existence. These pink shards carry insurmountable power and knowledge granting game-changing combat boons or knowledge through visions you otherwise would not be able to uncover to making miracles happen. However, any being utilizing it’s powers will inevitably descend into madness.To add to the immersion and narrative of madness, Sanity is tracked by the DM so that players don’t know how much sanity they lose or have left. While the campaign allows for use of this mechanic to be used pretty sparingly using it too often is not recommended. Players will be warned when they are close to madness. Once you are inflicted with madness it will be equivalent to a permanent death.
